Pilates is form of exercise,created by Joseph Pilates (1883-1967). It is designed to get the body moving as it should by improving the students flexibility, posture,breathing movement and strength with particular emphasis on strengthening the core muscles (the deepest muscles of the abdomen which include the pelvic floor and the diaphragm).
Hi. My name is Ryan Maddox. I was recommended Pilates by my GP in 2013 having suffered with lower back pain for many years, by this time it had become unbearable. I started attending classes and after a few weeks began to feel improvement in my back and as time went on I also felt improvement in my neck and feet (Plantar Fasciitis).
In 2018 I started my instructor training with Michael King in level 3 matwork. Michael has been teaching pilates since 1979 and is much respected in the Pilates world.
I am based in Ludlow Shropshire and Offer group matwork classes and one to one instruction in the south Shropshire, north Herefordshire/Worcestershire to people of all abilities.
